Where mandated the Centre carries out specific research on cultural and religious topics in Zambia. From 2003-2006 it carried out a research on Islam in Zambia (Dr. Felix Phiri), from 2005-2006 a research on Christianity in the Luangwa Valley (Bernhard Udelhoven), and presently it is involved in a research on Satanism in Zambia. The research work of the Centre is conducted by qualified anthropologists and is supported by a research network.
